Spring in February

I bought these Daffodils five years ago in the dead of winter and forced them in my kitchen window. They were those left over bulbs you see at the closeout counter the ones singing like Olivia Newton-John “ …take and chance on me-eee!” Well they were amazing in the window and I don’t like scuffing my mower on these decorative rocks I got when the road in front of the house was paved, so I planted them right in front and told myself not to be a baby if they don’t come up. Oh! I just...

Transplanting with Nate

Nate has quite a touch with animals even better with insects. I promise you, Grasshoppers, Flies, Mosquitoes and the occasional roach are the only insects he will allow to be mistreated around here. Everything else gets picked up and sweet talked. He is great at gardening too. He let me document a little of it when we transplanted this puffball shrub Jack bought on a whim and we have been trying to not allow to die. Its beautiful and interesting yet its not used to the harsh Texas sun and...

Knotting ends

I start stuff, see how it goes and sometimes don’t come back around to it. This is me synching up a few starts I left hanging. The duck babies are alive and well. Just not babies anymore. Duck Photos From Start. Mac and Cheese picture has found its recipe. Facebook is not as scary as I imagined. I have dedicated 30 minutes to it each day since my Facebook Begging Break Down and feeling less like I hate it.  And Kristine helped me out with some good advice. Thanks P-cock! I realize how much...

SO good!

SO good!

Hey-ya Friends! For the first time in months I woke up naturally pain free! WHOO HOO! SO Good! Yesterday I went to see Dr. Squishy aka Dr. Bishop and since I was feeling well enough to drive myself, didn’t take my pain meds. I was a little worried about the “squishy” without my little helpers, but I thought it best to worry a little than drive drugged. The fact that I could even drive myself and not spend 2 days in bed paying for it was a win. I won’t lie it hurt a bunch being...

Sorry All The Mystery

Oops! Let’s blame the meds. okay? It was me in the ER. I have just not been right since that fall off the roof, I expect. Its been, Heal, Heal, Hurt myself over nothing, and start again. Well, Thursday night, I felt well enough to go to a Christmas Party/Award Ceremony for Jack at his Do Jang. It was good, Jack got an attendance award, AND Student of The Year! WHOO HOO! I was so glad I was able to be there. We ate, laughed listened to each others stories. I love going there! I always take...

Best Laid Plans…

Heya! I had visions of Great Christmas’ happening so I hope you had lovely ones. We were together on Christmas our little group of 4 and even though we spent some of it in the ER we each had many chances to see what Christmas means and were soundly blessed by it. Its the ER nurse who will get done at 7am to go home a cook a Giant Christmas Meal to be surrounded by family and friends. Its the ER doc who can only spend 3 minutes on each patient and wishes he could do more, his sad face when he...

Nadine

Sadly our Barn Swallows have left us, guessing its too hard to rebuild in the middle of the birthing season or they found abandon nests somewhere else. What’s This About?   I want to tell you about our Nectarine Tree, Nadine. But first a little background on our quest for a nectarine tree. 10 years ago I bought a little dwarf Nectarine and planted out by the front fence. We had to have a big machine come and dig a 2 foot by 4 foot trench all along the front fence to get through the...
