Jonah: Video Day 2

“Dude!” we say, when Jonah’s head pops up out of his cup. He has only been with us 2 full days and already his coat has thickened, wounds knitting and body looking more rabbitity. I guess we have decided he is both a male and worthy of the “Dude” moniker. Jonah Lebowski. Actually his whole body has been popping out of his cup the last few hours. So we moved him cup and soul to an aquarium apartment so he can practice lifting his ears, walking…even running. All without his eyes...

SKY PIE Freebie: Dropshadow Layer Styles

Howdy Folks! So excited to pull out this oldie but goodie from my store. I use these EVERY DAY. FYI, these are all set to the blend mode of Color Burn, so you can get some pretty wonderful shadow colors going on. Likewise you might just want plain old black sometimes. Changing the blend mode to Multiply will fix that.  This item is free for Personal Use. A CU pass is available for the year of freebies for a mere $5. If you sent your payment recently and did not get your welcome packet...

Day in Pictures

Its only 9 am yet its already been a day of pictures. Just after midnight we grabbed this shot of Jonah diver down. Bunny butts, must be photographed what you gonna do? Then in the wee hours, third watch is my turn. Jonah is so active and adorable! New Linens. New Fur coming in. Wounds healing nicely. Attitude also coming along. NO mug can hold me. Bluebonnets and Seeds on morning walk. Dillon takes the shot of the day with a REAL camera…not an iphone like I walk with....

Journaling Saves: Meaningful Seeds

I believe all things begin with good writing.  This doesn’t mean I am a good writer, just someone who knows it when I see it. The best movies come from good scripts not the best explosions. The best books come from realized characters not literary tricks. You see where I am going? So it is with visual arts in my humble opinion. We “write” visually. The best scrapbook page, ATC, art journaling page, or sketch, comes from a seed of meaning…it could be an idea, color, photo, quote, a...

Jonah and The Wildside

This morning after taking pictures of the Tarantula I was so excited I jogged home to show my boys. When I got to the gully area where our Dear Annika Squirrel lives with her bruiser boyfriend, Red Charlie ( he is very red like a fox) or Chuck I stopped short…there they were. We have been trying to get a picture to prove to ourselves that Kika is allright. I didn’t get a decent picture but now I had 2 things to tell. Also when I stopped earlier at the donkeys they were at the far end of the...

Not SO Cute Wildlife

Well I think they are pretty cute, obviously. To everything there is a season. Lately its been the time for Spiders and Snakes. A few days back I happened upon a baby Texas Rat Snake ( non-venomous) in the road. Its been cold and wet here but now its warming up. Snake time. The warm pavement is a great place to get some sun. They stay nearby it when they are not right on, sunning. So I take extra care when stepping off the road to snap flower photos on my morning walk. I watch where I put my...
