Enchantingly Creepy: LIFE Magazine Looks Back
http://life.time.com/curiosities/a-squirrels-guide-to-fashion/#1 Thank you Rosie for sending this! I was both giggly enchanted and slightly standoff-ish due to the creep factor. I am still wondering why Tommy The Squirrel dressed in ladies clothes? What made Mrs. Bullis think dresses were the thing? Did she only have mad dress making skills? …were trousers a work of mystery? Either way I am choosing to be enchanted. Thanks Honeybun Master!...

Talk about a week of ups and downs! The weather has been SO wonderous I can’t stop going outside to putter around. I find myself out there not remembering how I got there. The grass is coming back after a few rainy days. New spears popping up to clear from my mind the months of dead, sunburnt turf we endured. The trees have yet to recover and I am constantly mourning the dead ones…or the ones I have to wait till spring to find out if they are dead. I scratch a bit of bark off with my...

We took advantage of great weather to rip all the dead morning glory vines from the Don Juan Rose Bush. It sailed through the winter and after 2 years since transplant its starting to invade the driveway clearance with its long trailing habit. We tied up some of its branches. Something it should be too soon for. The smaller Peachy-Pink Rose ( foreground, no name we know of) got the treatment too. Its still in the planter, but instead of the one sickly branch it started...

What a wonderful day today was! The alarm started beeping at 2:47am and I cuddled for a few minutes with Gracie and Taylor. Jack tucks Gracie into his spot in bed every so often so she can have a good sleep. She just doesn’t get on furniture by herself so he PUTS her there! LOL! Then I got up and tackled some stretching and yoga. I didn’t really feel like yoga today I wanted to skip it because we dug dirt, well the boys did most of it, yet I was still a bit creakity. Haven’t had a shovel...

WHOO HOO! Good Morning! Yesterday, we packed up our Dana ( big old suburban) with every stitch of dirty laundry we could find and set off for a day at Ann’s Laundry! We lost count of how many loads after 18 and bought $60 dollars worth of quarters! HOOT! I think 8 loads of that was doggie blankets and doggie towels! Phew! Stinky! I even remembered to drop off the dry-cleaning…4 sweaters the cats lay on religiously for months. They sure know me there for cat hair! Two Fancy dresses and...

I bounced out of bed this morning, with only a slight twinge in the back from all that bending over mowers and such yesterday. So I am tickled with the healing. I even sneezed yesterday! WHOO HOO! I was not able to take in a full breath for sneezing before and so nothing happened when I needed to. Imagine that! I never knew. Well anyway, like I said… bounced out of bed and went upstairs to weigh…185. Nerds. Up two pounds. What do I expect laying around for more than a week and eating no...
