    You survived the heat! Me too… These are great, you are just outdoing yourself with all these goodies. What happened to the Ducks? I was thinking about them yesterday. Take care.

      Got this email lost in the shuffle!
      Glad you are surviving the heat too! Soon it will be Fall and we will forget all about this heat business! LOL!

      Our duck population has taken quite a hit since the family of Raccoon comes to the pond each full moon. We only have Vlad left. We built them a duck house to keep them safe, but if we missed but one night of shooing them inside they were attacked. Vlad was injured and survived and now she is alone. We ask on Freecycle for anyone with a Duck to give to cure her lonely heart. So far not a one. In the Spring we will get her a partner, but for now she hangs with me when I am outdoors and when I am mowing the yard she hunts bugs the mower kicks up around my feet.
