Posted on Nov 12, 2011

To honor the passing of  11.11.11

11 ordinary wonders from the day.

1. Fall Leaves at the Trinity River.

2. Pond Flowers Blooming.

3. Jodiann buys new scanner.  An event which happens every 15 years. Yes, I have kept the old one right beside it, just for a little while.

4. Brownies were baked by breakfast. They even lasted until lunch.

5. Nathan got a haircut.

6. Nathan asked for a beard and mustache trim as well.

 Yes Really!

 7. Nathan allowed pictures to be taken. Not the sneaking up on him kind, but actual consent.

8. Dillon painted these boards for final window trim before we needed them! Weee!

9. We emptied our shed by 1/6th. Applause.

10. Replaced chewed in half squirrel hammock dowels. New hammocks for everyone!

Pictured, Slunk in doorway and Thor on feeder.

11. Squirrel Graduation. They can open their own nutcases.

They are ready to leave home.

Awesome! Love the post-party pics of the ‘graduates’, LOL! And Nathan looks like he’s ready to take on the world…go for it, Nate!

Love the pictures… Do the squirrels feel like mice or rabbits? I have never seen one so close… Nathan looks great with his new look…Take care.

Kind of in between. The have very soft hair like rabbits but not much off it so they are sleek, especially at this stage as their baby hair has fallen out. When they go outdoors to live they will get a fluffy winter coat. The tails have fewer hairs than one thinks they should, soft though. They will not clean themselves unless they feel very safe. Some feel safe enough to do it in front of us, but not the camera. I wish I could get a picture of one of them using their tail to clean their face. It would knock you right over its so adorable!

    Hugs for Shannon!
    Kisses too!
