Messy Edges + Smile Freebie

Great Day! Sun was out and I didn’t need to haul hose to keep the plants alive. Rosie sent some rain down from her place overnight and the roof didn’t blow off! I am grinning like a fool!  Pork Chop Pond is coming along. Wet clay soil is sticky and a challenge to work with, its rained on and off for about 4 days, but when its dry its hard as a rock, so what-cha gonna do? We are getting there. I am wondering now if its going to be big enough? HOOT!

These are Monday’s pics when the storms were still with us…I don’t know why I didn’t take any pictures today. What a beautiful Day! Maybe it was my butt dragging the ground? I am not the digger I use to be. Wears me flat out. The grass is about 8 inches deep here. When its gone we will make better time.

Dove  hears gunshots, about to run to the house. For one moment in time she looks like the tough girl she is not.

Gracie slows down for a picture. Still very thin, but we are building muscle on this girl, not fat. Takes time. She is just about to tell me the Ducks are unguarded and there are cats afoot!

While we dig the baby ducks swim in the wheelbarrow. Mostly just floating on the wood Monday, since it was a bit chilly out. ( l to r) Vlad the Impailer, Batman, Attila the Hun , and Sid Vicious. In warmer weather …like today’s sunny one. They will dive under the water. Hope to get a shot of that if we are lucky.

Could Batman be warming to the camera? Nah. Notice Sid Vicious’ pointy collar? How appropriate.

Going to turn in! Lots to do tomorrow and no storms tonight! Phew! Nice! Dove and Cherry Pie are afraid of storms and they get so wound up they need lots of attention. The men around here cover them until they hit the sack around 1 am, but as soon as their heads hit the pillow the dogs get lonely and the storms begin it seems. LOL! They need medication some nights or have a jacket put on. We got some Thundershirts and they work pretty good. Dove’s is too short for her and Cherry’s is too big by a little. They do give them some relief, but not as dramatic as they could if they fit proper. I still recommend them we just have odd shaped dogs. *grin*
