Christmas Shine Photoshop Styles

Making Pies today! Weee! I like to do this earlier than  the day before the big feed, but you know sometimes I just have to be thankful for being able to make them at all and smile smile smile!  Nathan informed me at a shopping trip a few weeks back that he doesn’t like pie. He is a cake man. Okay, its a blow, but I can handle it. At least we agree that Brownies are universal common ground.

Today’s Pies will be Mincemeat, Pumpkin, and Chocolate Cream. I will also be attempting a cake from scratch since the boys made all the cake mixes in the cupboards. They are quite industrious when it comes to procuring the sweet stuff and Mom is too broken to shop. I have a recipe for coke-cola cake I might try if I can dig it up, if not it will be a free-for-all and we might end up with brownies if I poop out and need a rest before the cake gets made.  Warning: Don’t expect frosting, I know! Life is better with frosting, but I suck at frosting.

Before we get into all that, though here is a Cats-Sitting-On-Sick-Girl photo montage. You’ve heard “build it and they will come”? Here its “Sit and they will sit on you.”

Time for Pie and Cake

Consulting the Swammy of Cake ( Nathan) for a flavor brought us to Spice Cake with Cream Cheese frosting. He was sure there was a tub of store bought frosting somewhere and he was right. WHOOHOO!
