My 3 men are off to lunch together! I am excited for them. Not since Jack worked nights ( and the boys were itty-bitty) did they eat “lunch” together. It was Jack’s lunch and their dinner. We made it and took it to the hospital where Jack worked and ate it together. Good Times! It was a great way to have toddlers get to see their night owl daddy each day since he was asleep when they woke and they were asleep ( nap) when he left for work. Fast Forward 15 years and they are all giants walking out the door to make a DIY run and grab some MAN LUNCH! Whoo Hoo!
I bailed out to give them spotlight and to write my lesson plans for July, but first I want to say HOWDY to all of you! As I mentioned a few post ago, Jack is on vacation and so our schedule is open to change. So here I am, blogging when its time for US History! Weeee!
HOWDY Y’all!!
Memorial Day was great! The man-boys made a fire on the BBQ. Getting out all those wonderful man tools, axe, chainsaw, bow-saw, match!! LOL! to worship the immortal flame! We cooked pork steaks, potatoes in tin foil wrappers. Still have a boatload of meat and potatoes! I made my Spicy-Sweet Chipotle Beans ( Gotta’ Have ‘Dem Beans! ) and those deviled eggs with curry that everyone seemed to snort up their nose they went so fast!
We sweated it all out with some yard games and no one picked up a camera the entire day! It was pretty fun to just roll with it and not try to capture any. We finished off our great day with cool drinks in front of the Television! LOL! All stiff and salty. We started watching old episodes of 30 Rock since we are not drop everything TV watchers. I guess we are the kind who save up a few hours and watch 4 episodes at once via our NETFLIX lifeline! Really NEED to buy some stock in Netflix! WHOOT!!
We didn’t do anything Memorial Day-like…attend a parade, take our old US flags to a disposal event, or even meet with veterans. The kind of things I did when I was a bitty-nip because my family was military through and through. I guess I am having a bit of Irish Catholic Guilt about that. * grin*
Anyway, guilt will always be there for the taking, I could talk about guilt all day long, how about a sweet giveaway for you to get in on? Shannon, of Desert Designs is having a blog hop giveaway today! She is giving away a Dogwood Branch Stamp she used to make these awesome cards!
Shannon was sweet enough to ask if I wanted to kick in something, so I donated a coupon for 2 free Styles at my Kristine’s Place Store. You may want to grab up the Chalkies Shannon used on this card above, or find something else in my Bean Store that tickles your fancy. It all works for me, no limitation on what the coupon is used for as long as its in Jodiann’s Store.

I am working on some Bokeh Styles for this week and they are turning out Awesome Cute!
Here is a sample of what I am coming up with when I play with them….
This is our Dear Departed Ruby, she always looked like Willy Loman, but right before she pounced you with a giant smile on her face and stole your breath away! She was a tricky play partner! The problem with that is we have tons of Willy Loman shots, and in the other ones we are defending ourselves!
Here is a freebie background for you to drop behind your own extractions…
