Electric Family!

Posted on Mar 12, 2010

We have a strangely wired home so the boys and I are working on changing some of the weirdness. Tomorrow the Direct TV guy is coming by to give us a new dish and 2 new receivers and we thought it would be good thing to rewire in the entertainment room ( something we have been putting off for a while) I love using a visitor to motivate us to do something we really would rather not do.

It gets us in gear! WHOOT!

So instead of blogging this morning I grabbed the boys to go with me to shop for the last of the supplies we needed. They were THRILLED! ( really!! LOL!) School today was how to rewire a string of outlets and advance wire pulling. They are tired but they took to it pretty well. They naturally know how things work, they get that from their daddy!

So now instead of a temporary fix ( 25 foot extension cord curling out from the upstairs bathroom linked to a giant 12 plug power strip) we have 8 working electrical outlets around the room, like real people!! Yay US!!

Morning Glory Update!

As I wrote Yesterday, Rosemary H. sent me some seeds…she is pretty wonderful! And I got them in the pots today after our DIY was done.

I just planted the ones that popped.

    Hey,
I love the St. Patrick’s Day styles! I was wondering, though, if the styles will work on Paint Shop Pro (7 or 11) because I don’t have PhotoShop.
Good luck with your morning glories! I remember planting them on a trellis once and they were such a beautiful blue. They kept coming back for several years!
    Toodle-oo!

Ohh! Nostalgia time! When I was a little girl, we had a small screened back porch where my mother’s washing machine sat. The washer was electric, but, it had a separate spin tub. Whoo-ee! I’m dating myself, here. LOL I recall the porch screens were just covered on the outside by morning glory vines. So massive were they, the vines gave the little porch the appearance of a porch twice it’s size. To me, it was magical. The memory still is. LOL

    Thanks!

Hey Anita! Nope. Sorry PS Styles will not work with Non-Photoshop Programs. I have converted some Styles to patterns to use in other programs like PSP, Paint and Gimp. I will be doing that again as I get settled in at Kristine’s Place. So look for them in the future. I am a Photoshop convert. I used PSP for years so look for PSP goodies also coming up in the future as I get re-aquainted with the program from a scrapping perspective.

    Hugs!

Su! I loved visiting your blog and see you wonderful Repunsel Look! You got great hair, Honey! WHoo HOO!

What a wonderful idea about covering the porch or screen building with Morning Glories! I am going to try that. I have an old fenced spot that I am going to use to store my leaves and grass clippings. Its an ugly spot for sure, but I need a spot since the wind blows the leaves away unless I corral them up. I could cover that ugly spot with morning glories and Sunflowers! Whoo hoo!
Between you coming up with the great ideas and Rosemary providing SO many seeds. my view will be flowers in every direction! Isn’t that a wonderful thought!

    Hugs!!
